  1. Similar experience. I hadn't met someone with whom I wanted to have a family and would not have sex without love or "just" to get pregnant. As time passed I came to realise that, more than a partner, what I really longed for was to be a Mum, so I embarked on the adoption journey. My beautiful boy has been with me for nearly 5 years. It hasn't always been easy and you have to realise that, while there are many gains, there are losses involved too, but I've never, ever regretted it and know that this is what I was meant to do with my life.”
